Over the years, the Shenango Valley Chorale has participated in several community events and programs.

The Chorale has dedicated itself to promoting choral music in Western Pennsylvania and Eastern Ohio. The Chorale provides the opportunity for local residents to sing in a talented choral group.

The Adopt-A-Highway program is an effective way to reduce the overall cost of litter pick-up in Pennsylvania. The Shenango Valley Chorale has adopted a stretch of the Shenango Valley Freeway (Route 62), in Hermitage.

The Chorale has become a regular feature on Labor Day in support of the Buhl Day activities at Buhl Park in Sharon.

There is a presentation of Handel’s Messiah each year that is open the community at no charge.

The Chorale annually participates in the graduation ceremonies at the Penn State University, Shenango Campus.

Late in the fall of 2011 the Chorale made a spontaneous video of “The Battle Hymn of the Republic”, which was then forwarded to Yellow Ribbon Mothers and soldiers stationed in The Armory in North Carolina and the Freeport Flag Ladies in Bangor, Maine. The Freeport Flag Ladies are an amazing group of women, who for the last 10 years have met and greeted every military troop flight for the past 10 years. May God bless the men and women who have served and are serving their country, and all of the families and friends who support their effort.
